New Jersey Future Congratulates Governor-Elect Mikie Sherrill

TRENTON, NJ, November 06, 2025—New Jersey Future congratulates Governor-Elect Mikie Sherrill on her election as New Jersey’s next governor. Her people-centered, forward-thinking perspective reflects the approach our state needs to create more prosperous, equitable, sustainable, and resilient communities.

“Governor-Elect Sherrill’s vision aligns strongly with New Jersey Future’s priorities including: expanding housing affordability, especially through zoning reform; investing in clean water infrastructure when the federal government has stepped back; strengthening transportation choices beyond cars; adapting to a changing climate; and ensuring healthy, vibrant communities for everyone,” said Peter Kasabach, executive director of New Jersey Future. “These urgent challenges will require thoughtful solutions, many of which are simply waiting to be implemented.”
